Austria won the Ski Jumping Team competition

Austria took seasons first Team Competition. It was up to the last jumpers. German's Martin Schmitt's 123 meters jump was not enough when Thomas Morgenstern made 139 meters. On the final results just 14 points separated top two teams. Finland was third 55 points behind Austria.

Austria's Andreas Kofler was satisfied with today's result.

”I think it was a good performance and I am happy about the success today.” 

“The weather was changing during the competition, but it was good for us in the end. Hopefully the weather is even better tomorrow in the individual competition.” 

Kofler was tenth on today's individual comparison and is looking forward for tomorrow. 

”I want to be close to the top and I hope it is possible”.

Swiss Simon Ammann made competition's longest 144,5 meter jump. He was the best individual jumper before Poland's Adam Malysz.

Kuusamo's FIS Ski Jumping World Cup opening will continue with individual competition on Saturday at 4 pm Finnish time.
