29.11.2009 NORTHUG WINS MEN'S 15 KILOMETERS BEFORE TWO RUSSIANS Men's 15 km classic race turned out to be an exciting battle of seconds. Russia's Maxim Vylegzhanin led the competition from the start, but Norway's Petter Northug's pace in the last two kilometers was too much for the Russian. Northug beat Vylegzhanin by 1,2 seconds. 28.11.2009 Historical sprint victory for Kowalczyk Women's sprint race was Poland's Justyna Kowalczyk's domination from beginning to the end. She was the fastest one in the semi-finals and kept her speed in the finals, finishing 0,9 seconds before Petra Majdic of Slovenia. Norway's Ola Vigen Hattestad was the fastest and his fellow Norwegian Öystein Pettersen came second. 27.11.2009 Austria won the Ski Jumping Team competition Austria took seasons first Team Competition. It was up to the last jumpers. German's Martin Schmitt's 123 meters jump was not enough when Thomas Morgenstern made 139 meters. On the final results just 14 points separated top two teams.
