TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING Ruka winter sports center is situated 25 km to the north from Kuusamo town center near to the main road number five. Ski buses from Kuusamo center drive more shifts. Transportations from Kuusamo to Ruka are included in the prize of the entrance ticket. Extra shifts to Ruka are arranged when needed. There are also good bus connections from Kuusamo Airport to Ruka which is about 25 km away. Parking of cars in Ruka There are several places to park a car for the quests of the Ruka World Cup competition. Parking areas are situated near to the ski center. The distances to walk range from half a kilometer to one and a half. There are signs to the parking areas and traffic instructors who will show where to drive. Buses will be parked in the area of Ruka's school which is situated about 800 metres from the ski center. Extra bus parking lot is in the area of Juhannuskallio. Only those who have a special permission can drive to the stadium area. Buses will drive to Ruka central square. It is only a short way to walk to the ski stadium. The return transportation will leave from the same square. Tourist transportations to Ruka Nordic Opening We arrange cheapest transportations to Ruka-Kuusamo from Kajaani, Oulu and Rovaniemi. Transportation days are Friday 27th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of november. Price for the transportation is only 10 euros when you buy a ticket to the World Cup event.
