Ruka Nordic Opening was Norwegians’ and Austrians’ celebration

Ruka Nordic Opening’s 10th anniversary ended with Norway’s and Austria’s mars of glory. Norway’s women took a triple win in Ruka Triple Cross-Country and also men’s first and second place went to Norwegians.

The opening day of the new Ski Jumping World Cup season couldn’t been better for team Austria. After a superior show in the Team competition, the current best Ski Jump country took all the podium places in the individual race.

Austria won again - something new?

Austria was overwhelming in one round Team Competition. Their final score was over 100 points more than Japan's, which finished second. Denis Kornilov's 143 meter jump raised team Russia to the podium. Austria was leading from the beginning and after two jumps point gap to the second team was already 30 points.

Second place for Ryynänen on the second day of Nordic Combined

Saturday’s Nordic Combined was won by German Tino Edelmann with a time of 27:37.3. Finnish Janne Ryynänen got second place with a time of 27:53.3 and Japanese Akito Watabe came in third with a time of 28:01.7.
